MINEX AWARD '08

MINEX Annual Industry Award was established at the Minex (Russian Mining & Exploration Forum) in 2007 with the aim of promoting best practices in the Russian Mining Industry. The award has become an instant success by offering an unbiased and independent platform for highlighting success stories and awarding Russian and International companies and managers for their outstanding achievements in improving mining industry standards and practices in Russia.

MINEX Awards are being presented in seven different categories. The awards merit and promote best corporate and personal achievements in the Russian Mining and reward industry leaders for forward looking business strategies. The independent character of the Award is guaranteed by the common voting process of MINEX participants and general Mining Community supported by Mass Media. By the award rules the nominees and winners cannot financially participate in the Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony.

Nominee and winner selection process

Nominee and winner selection process stages. At the first stage MINEX Award Committee appoints the Minex organising committee which assesses nominees applications and drafts nominee list. At the second stage Minex Award committee and Minex organising committee invite Minex delegates and the Mining Community in Russia (both Russian and International companies and organisations) to cast their votes for proposed nominees. At the third stage, the Award Committee evaluates results of the votes and in cooperation with the members of the Organising Committee confirms the winners which are then announced at the Gala Dinner held on the second day of the Forum. The Award results are published on Minex website and widely reported by the media attending the forum.

THE AWARDS CEREMONY AND GALA DINNER

The awards ceremony and gala dinner take place between 19:30 - 22:30 on 2nd of October, 2008 at the Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya Hotel in Moscow (Europe Square 2, Moscow, Russia).

It is set to be a networking highlight of the Russian Mining industry calendar. It is the only award for the mining industry in Russia to recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements by Russian and International companies and professionals with peers, colleagues and clients. The Award Dinner and Winner List are widely covered by the Media.
